If a rule, form, translation or tool result on this site is wrong, we want to know. Accuracy matters more to us than anything else we publish.
How to report an error
- Note the page address and the exact sentence, form or tool input.
- Tell us what you believe is correct and, if you can, why (a reference grammar, a dictionary entry, or your experience as a native speaker or teacher).
- Send it using the details on the contact page, with "Correction" in the subject line.
How we handle reports
- Every report is checked against the reference works we rely on.
- Clear errors (a wrong form, a spelling mistake, a mistranslation) are fixed promptly, and the page's review date is updated.
- Where the question concerns variation between speakers or regions, we may add a note describing both usages rather than choosing one.
- Substantive corrections, meaning changes to a rule, a paradigm or a claim, are listed in the log below. Typo fixes and wording improvements are not logged.
